The Lafayette County Board of Supervisors will receive sealed bids in the office of the County Administrator Lafayette County 300 North Lamar, Oxford, MS 38655, until Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 10:00 AM and thereafter publicly open them for furnishing and placing traffic stripe for the Lafayette County Road Department. Bid documents can be obtained through www.lafayettemsbids.com.  The proposal and contract documents in their entirety shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and deposited with the Lafayette County Chancery Clerk,  prior to the hour and date above designated.  The proposal may also be submitted electronically through www.lafayettemsbids.com

Work order(s) shall be issued for individual assignments with payment to be made under the appropriate quantity unit pricing. Each work order shall be completed within 45 calendar days of the date of the work order.

Technical specifications for all material requirements, construction requirements and construction testing shall be accomplished in strict compliance with Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction, 2004 Edition, adopted by the office of State Aid Road Construction of the Mississippi Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration. Said specifications are made a part hereof fully and completely as if attached hereto, except where superseded by special provisions or amended revisions.

Special provision and revised specifications adopted and approved are made a part hereof fully and completely as if attached hereto.

Fuel adjustment and State Aid Project Sign do not apply to this contract. Successful Contractor shall be responsible for all maintenance of traffic and stripe during the construction period as specified for STATE AID ROAD AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION.

Bid prices will be for a period of 12 months, February 1, 2024 until January 31, 2025, all bidders shall be precisely clear as to the specification of their products.  Bids submitted should indicate if the price indicated includes delivery of the item that was bid.

Bid proposals shall include a price adjustment clause with relation to the cost to the Vendor and based on a cost index determined by the Department of Finance and Administration.  The bid proposal with a price adjustment clause shall contain the method of adjusting unit prices for the change of such commodities, equipment etc. (Section 31-7-13) (n)( ii)

The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities in the best interest of the County.
